R for ALL
The name, Osun RUG, came into existence in September, 2017. Our mission is to ensure that at least one million Nigerian youths, who are yet to hear about R software, are informed about the language, trained on the applicability of R package in handling computational statistics and data science-related problems, and finally certify the trained ones. Also, our vision is to be the best RUG amongst all in terms of provision of FREE face-to-face facilitation of R training workshops as well as preaching the gospel of R through webinars. We have successfully conducted quite a number of physical and online training workshops on data science and machine learning using R software with full financial sponsorship majority of which are from the R Consortium, R Foundation and R Studio.
